Chez Jennifer

Jennifer and I met in 5th grade on the monkey bars. She had an Eeyore bandaid and somehow in 5th grade that was something
worth bonding over.

Time passed and we didn't really see each other, until
7th grade in Mr. Shriver's class where we had to do a
project together. It ended up being called Footopia, but I
honestly have NO IDEA what the point of that project was
anymore.
("Well that project was create a continent and to learn the vocabulary of map study!" -Jennifer)
So we met again over creating a continent while learning the vocabulary of map study.

We became especially best friends after deciding the easiest way
to pass notes was in journals (because back in our day cell phones were bricks that cost you .75 cents per message). This form of communication was great- our teachers thought we were fantastic note takers. We continued the notebooks all through high school, and we each have about 10 filled with all kinds of ridiculously awesome
memories.

After we graduated, I went to Chicago for college and she ended up in good old Kearney, Nebraska.

In the SEVEN YEARS that she has lived here, I never visited.
Finally, I did.

This is her apartment.

A pixie garden, a housewarming present
from Jennifer's Grandma.

Except for these legit fairy baskets
made by a leprechaun with glitter and rainbow dust.
(or an Irishman with a hack saw)

"He was ugly enough to make the cut"

This is...Jenny 2.

Jennifer's Place: Complete with gargoyle.
(or D'Hoffryn, a vengeance demon. But, whatever)

Serenity Fountain
(it no longer flows because some buttmunch
broke it)

Coins coins coins coins

coins coins coins coins coins coins

Bob & Harry's mother's pentacle, I mean obviously.

A replica of Harry Dresden's car signed by
Jim Butcher.
Magic tested, wizard approved.

I believe there may be a theme here.

Evinrude, a dragon scale betta.

Like I said, there's a theme here.

Bottles made of lavendar glass are actually really valuable now.

HOW MANY OWLS ARE THERE

This would be a great drinking game.

Cobalt blue is almost as valuable as lavendar glass.

Humanoid owls. (Yeah, they really make this stuff)

Coolest fridge ever.

Gotta get that French in there.

"The finger painted Turkey"
(with no reference)

I made an appearance :) 8th grade graduation.
(WHAT WAS I THINKING WITH THAT HAIR STYLE??)

"Those are my teeth."

Things Jennifer's grandpa used to say
to her that her grandmother painted
on her dresser.

Cult classics :)

Best friends for over a decade, and still she is the person I talk to about anything and everything. Thanks for being my person <3
