Brandon & Bethany

Bethany & Brandon met in high school 6 years ago through mutual friends. They have been two hours apart for half of their relationship due to Brandon being away for college, but have still managed to keep their relationship strong!
Brandon proposed to Bethany at his grandparents' house while celebrating Memorial Day. He took her out on a wave runner (this took much convincing!) into a back cove where he had hearts hanging from a tree, a bible verse hand written on poster board, music, wine, and a table and chairs. Apparently Brandon is extremely romantic, so it took Bethany a minute to understand what was happening! Of course she was ecstatic, and said yes :)

Here are some of my favorite images from their engagement session!

When asked about Brandon, Bethany said, "I recently moved to St. Joe to be with Brandon and it couldn't feel more complete finally being with him and not having to live so far apart. I cannot wait to marry my best friend and soul mate. I feel so very blessed to have him."

When asked about Bethany, Brandon said,"Being with Bethany for almost 6 years now has no doubt made me a better person. Even only being able to see her on the weekends for 3 of those years our relationship grew stronger through faith in God. Now starting the next chapter in our lives and being able to see her smiling face everyday only deepens my love for her. I can't wait to marry the beautiful woman that God has blessed me with."

Like the Dawn

you were the brightest shade of sun I had ever seen
your skin was gilded with the gold of the richest kings
and like the dawn you woke the world inside of me
you were the brightest shade of sun when I saw you.

Linda Quach is a Hair Goddess

So when I first moved to Kansas City, I knew hardly anyone and I needed to go get mah hair did. So I did a quick google search, and Pinkie Couture popped out at me like a multicolored mohawk. Preston Parsons colored me a smexy shade of red, and ended up inviting me to a Third Friday event that the salon did during the summers. And that was when I met Linda Quach! She introduced herself and was so impossibly bubbly it was pretty difficult to forget :) This blossomed a fast friendship. Earlier this month we FINALLY got our schedules on the same page and did a collaboration. Here are some images from said project!

Love you Linda!

Lexi: A 40s Styled Shoot

Lexi wanted something fun and different. And frankly, so did I! This entire shoot erupted from me finding a really neat hat at a tiny little antique store in Benton, Louisiana. It's crazy that one small detail can provide so much inspiration.

Hair was created by the lovely Amanda Biggs of Pinkie Couture. Check her out, she's pretty awesome!
